Honor 30S Rear Design Appears in Leaked Render Ahead of March End Rumored Launch

Recent reports have revealed that Honor will unleash the Honor 30 series in April. The details of the Honor 30 series are now scarce since the parent firm Huawei is focused on unleashing the Huawei 40 series on March 26. The Honor 30 lineup will include Honor 30 and Honor 30 Pro smartphones. These phones could be fueled by the Kirin 990 5G chipset. Recently, the Honor 30S name was see in an advertising material. A tipster on Weibo has showcases the rear design of the Honor 30S.

There is no confirmation on the authenticity of the Honor 30S render. The butterfly-like patterned rear design of the smartphone appears similar to the rear shell appearance of the Honor 20S that was announced in September 2019.

The Honor 20S features a vertical triple camera setup which also includes an LED at the top-left corner of its back. The leaked render of the Honor 30S’ rear shows that it has a rectangle-shaped camera setup. Since the camera module is blackened, the image does not reveal the number of cameras it will be arriving with. However, it seems to be a safe bet that the Honor 30S will sport a quad camera system on its back.

The tipster claims that the Honor 30S will launch at March end. Honor is silent on its existence, but if the leak is true, the handset may get announced in the last few days of the month after the launch of the P40 series.

Honor 30S moniker seen in marketing material

The Honor 20S was powered by the Kirin 810 chipset. There is a possibility that the Honor 30S could be featuring the all new Kirin 820 chipset with 5G support. However, the SoC hasn’t gone official yet. The same SoC is rumored to power the Nova 6 series phones from Huawei. Meanwhile, the Honor 30 and Honor 30 Pro have seemingly bagged 3C certification.
