Recently, we’d heard about an upcoming Vivo smartphone known as the Vivo X50 Lite which had been spotted on the Google Play Console. Now, this device had quietly went on sale in Australia via a third-party retailer. Based on its official specs and renders, it appears that the Vivo X50 Lite is none other than the rebranded model of the current Vivo V17.
The Vivo X50 Lite will arrive with a 6.38-inches FHD+ AMOLED which comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device has a traditional dewdrop-notch which play host to a 16 megapixels selfie camera.
Over at the back, we will see its signature diamond-shaped camera module which houses a total of four camera sensors. This include a 48 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.
Under the hood, the Vivo X50 Lite will be driven by an octa-core Snapdragon 665 SoC which is the same chip utilized by many recent mid-ranger phones including the OPPO A52. This will be assisted by 8GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage which is further expandable via a microSD card.
To keep its lights on, there will be a generous 4,500mAh battery with an unspecified charging rate. The device will run on the latest FuntouchOS 10 based on Android 10 OS.
In the Australian market, the Vivo X50 Lite will be available in two different colorways including Nebula Blue and Jade Black. It will be priced at AU$499 (US$323) for its sole 8GB+128GB model.
