Google Pixel 5 Pricing Hinted in Survey Screenshot

Google is expected to announce the Pixel 4a mid-range smartphone at some point in this month. Rumors have claimed that it could be coming with a starting price of $349. A Reddit user came across a survey on the Google Opinion Rewards app. The survey not only hints the pricing of the Pixel 4a, but the Pixel 5 flagship phone that is expected to debut last this year.

As can be seen in the screenshot, the survey asks people which of the two Pixel phones they would prefer to purchase. The first one is a Google Pixel phone that comes with a plastic body along with a 3.5mm audio jack. It has a starting price of $349. This handset seems to be the forthcoming Google Pixel 4a.

The other one is a premium Pixel phone that will provide users with the latest Google features and innovations. The flagship phone has best in class camera, wireless charging, and water resistance. The smartphone has a starting price of $699. The pricing is $100 less than the starting cost of the 2019’s Pixel 4 and 2018’s Pixel 3.

There is a possibility that the Google Pixel 5 may arrive with a $699 price tag. The reason behind it is that there are some rumors that the smartphone may not feature Snapdragon 800 series chipset. Instead, it may arrive as a premium mid-range smartphone.

It was reported by 9to5Google in March that the Google Camera app for Pixel 5 revealed Bramble and Redfin codenames. It was reported in January, that Bramble and Redfin are Snapdragon 765G powered devices. Hence, there is a possibility that the Pixel 5 and Pixel 5 XL may not feature Snapdragon 865. Instead, they may arrive with 5G-ready Snapdragon 765G which is the next best chipset from Qualcomm for 2020.
