In April, Nubia announced the Nubia Play 5G smartphone. It is one of the few phones that come equipped with a 144Hz refresh supporting screen. Moreover, the handset is available in China with an attractive starting price of 2,399 Yuan ($340). Fresh information reveals that the handset could be heading markets outside of China as Nubia Red Magic 5G Lite.
The model number of the Nubia Play 5G is NX651J. The same model number has appeared on platforms like Global Certification Forum (GCF) and Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) with a different name of the Nubia Red Magic 5G Lite. Hence, it appears that the phone could be made available as an inferior variant of the Snapdragon 865 SoC powered Nubia Red Magic 5G gaming smartphone that went official earlier this year.
