After announcing the Vivo Z5x last year, Vivo is now looking to revitalize the sales figure of this model by equipping it with an upgraded SoC. Unlike the 2019’s model, the new Vivo Z5x will be featuring a Snapdragon 712 SoC instead the toned-down SD710. Other than the change in SoC, the rest of its specs and design will remain unchanged.
The Vivo Z5x Snapdragon 712 Edition will continue to sport a 6.53-inches IPS LCD display with FHD+ screen resolution. The device employs a sleek hole-punch design to accommodate its 16 megapixels selfie camera.
At the rear, there will be a triple-cameras setup comprising of a 16 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor. A rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is present at the back as well.
In the memory department, the new Vivo Z5x has up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage which is further expandable via a microSD card. It will be fitted with a massive 5,000mAh battery which comes with 18W fast-charging support.
For those who’re interested, the device will be offered in three different colorways including Black, Blue and Pink. It will be priced at 1,398 Yuan (US$198) and 1,598 Yuan (US$226) respectively for its 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB models.
