Samsung Galaxy A51 5G (SM-A516V) Bags Bluetooth SIG Approval

Last month, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A71 5G smartphone in the U.S. The device arrived with Snapdragon 765G. The South Korean company is expected to release the Galaxy A51 5G with the same chipset in the U.S. The model number of the SM-A516V. Ahead of the launch, the Galaxy A51 5G moniker along with the model number has appeared on the database of the Bluetooth SIG authority.

The SM-A516V handset was recently spotted on Geekbench. The rumor mill speculated that it could be coming to the market as Galaxy A51s 5G. The Bluetooth SIG confirms that the handset will break cover as the Galaxy A51 5G. The letter ‘V’ in its model number could be the Verizon edition of the device.

The Bluetooth SIG listing reveals that it is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0. The handset also bagged a couple of other certifications in the recent past. It has received NFC certification and its Wi-Fi Alliance listing revealed support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Android 10 OS. The Galaxy A51 5G is expected to release in the U.S. this month.  

Samsung Galaxy A51 5G Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A51 specs are under wraps, but it may sport identical specs as its Exynos 980 chipset variant. The Exynos model has a 6.5-inch S-AMOLED display with Infinity-O design. It offers Full HD+ resolution and is integrated with a fingerprint reader. 

The Geekbench listing of the Galaxy A51 5G for the U.S. revealed that it has 6 GB of RAM. The phone may ship with 128 GB of built-in storage. It could be coming with a 32-megapixel front camera and a 48-megapixel quad-camera system. The handset may house a 4,500mAh battery with 15W charging support.
