Popular tipster Ishan Agarwal had revealed in the previous week that Realme will be announcing its 120W Ultra Dart fast charging technology in this week. Realme has released an official confirmation today that it will be announcing its Ultra Flash Charge technology on July 16.
All of a sudden, iQOO went on to announce its 120W fast charging technology yesterday. The tech can fully charge a 4,000mAh battery in 15 minutes. Tomorrow, OPPO will be taking off covers from its 125W SuperVOOC rapid charging technology. It is likely to be a minute or two faster than iQOO’s iteration.
As far as Realme is concerned, the charging speeds of its Ultra Flash Charge technology is not known yet. However, the leaked information shared by Agarwal had revealed that it could charge at 100W+. He had shared a screengrab that revealed that charging a 4,000Ah batter could be done using Realme’s 125W Ultra Dart technology at nearly 120W speeds.
New smartphones that are powered by energy-efficient processors, but there are still possibilities of losing battery easily due to high-end features like 5G and high refresh rate display. Hence, Chinese smartphone brands are trying to bring faster-charging capabilities on their smartphones.
iQOO is expected to announce its first phone with 125W charging support in the coming month. However, there are claims that smartphones with 100W+ charging support could be launching in Q1 2021.
