How to root Newman N2 using Framaroot appThe Newman N2 smartphone was released back in January this year, spotting a 4.7-inch display powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 chipset and 1 GB RAM. Like any other Android devices, the Newman N2 can be easily rooted using the Framaroot app through the Sam / Frodo / Legolas or Aragorn exploit. This will then enable you to install custom ROMs and other root only apps on your device. If you’re interested, then read on to find out how to root the Newman N2.

 

Before we begin, I would like to warn you that during the process of rooting, there is a risk of bricking your own device. So if you still want to proceed, you’ll be doing it at your own risk and we will hold no responsible for any form of damage on your device. Its a good practice for you to backup your device to an external source apart from your own SD Card.

 

Follow the steps below on how to root the Newman N2

 

  1. Download the Framaroot apk and place it on your desktop.
  2. Connect the Newman N2 to your PC.
  3. Copy and paste the Framaroot apk from your desktop over to your device’s SD card.
  4. Ensure that the Unknown Sources option has been checked in your device’s security settings ( This is required in order to install apks outside Google Play ).
  5. Launch your file explorer from your app drawer ( if you do not have one, you can download ES File Explorer from the Play Store ) and install the Framaroot apk from your SD card.
  6. Open the Framaroot app on your Newman N2.
  7. Select the install Superuser option in the Framaroot appSelect install Superuser.
  8. Tap on theĀ Sam / Frodo / Legolas or Aragorn option from the app.
  9. Success pop-up appearing in the Framaroot appWait for a success pop-up to appear on the screen.
  10. Reboot your device.
  11. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted the Newman N2.
