Recently, the global variant of the vanilla OPPO Reno5 had already been certified in a number of Asian markets with Vietnam being among the first country to launch the Reno5 on December 30th.
Right now, its higher-end Reno5 Pro model has also appeared on the database on several key regulatory bodies including Singapore’s IMDA and India’s BIS which hint on its imminent launch.
As we know, the OPPO Reno5 which will be launching in the Vietnamese market will be a 4G variant which has slightly different specs from the 5G variant which was launched in the Chinese market earlier this month.
Therefore, there have been speculations on whether the global variant of the Reno5 Pro may have any changes with some rumors suggesting that the Reno5 Pro may be equipped with a Snapdragon 765G chipset instead of the Dimensity 1000+ chip. However, that remains a mystery for the time being.
For the benefits of those who’d missed out, the OPPO Reno5 Pro features a 6.55-inches FHD+ AMOLED, curved display which brings along a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and a 32 megapixels selfie camera.
Moving on, photography on the Reno5 Pro will be handled by a quad camera system comprising of a 48 megapixels (1.7 aperture) primary shooter, 8 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture) ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) depth sensor.
To keep its lights on, the OPPO Reno5 Pro is fitted wit a slightly larger 4,350mAh battery which carries support for the company’s proprietary 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 flash charging solution. As usual, it will boot on the latest ColorOS 11 based on Android 11 out of the box.
