On Thursday, Lenovo will be unleashing the Lenovo Legion 2 Pro gaming phone as the successor to last year’s Legion Pro. The teasers released by the brand have revealed that the Legion 2 Pro will offer a couple of improvements over the predecessor model. A few live shots of the Legion 2 Pro have appeared on Weibo today to give a first look at its entire design.
As can be seen in the images, the display of the Legion 2 Pro offers a full-screen experience as it does not have a notch or a punch-hole. It was recently confirmed by Lenovo that the Legion 2 Pro features a massive 6.92-inch AMOLED screen that delivers a refresh rate of 144Hz and a touch sampling rate of 720Hz. The Master Lu benchmarks of the phone revealed that it carries support for a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels and a 20.5:9 aspect ratio.
The predecessor Legion Pro featured a 20-mgeapixel camera for capturing selfies. The upcoming Legion 2 Pro will come with a more advanced 44-megapixel selfie snapper. Like the predecessor phone, it will be a pop-up camera module placed on the right edge of the device.
The back panel of the Legion 2 Pro flaunts a symmetrical design, with a center portion featuring an RGB-lit Legion branding. It also features two or three cameras and a fan. The rear camera setup of the phone has a 1/1.32-inch 64-megapixel OmniVision lens as the primary camera. The company has claimed that the Legion 2 Pro will be arriving as the world’s first smartphone with a dual turbo fan coupled with liquid cooling technology.
The Legion 2 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset and up to 16 GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to come with up to 512 GB of native storage. It will be backed by a 5,500mAh battery that will support 90W rapid charging through dual USB-C ports.
