Xiaomi had already earlier confirmed about the existence of the Redmi Note 8 2021 smartphone which the company claimed will be launched imminently, to commemorate the sale of 25 million Redmi Note 8 devices since it’s official debut in August last year.
Now, the company has released the first-ever teaser for the phone which revealed that the device will be retaining the same good old design upfront. This means you’ll be greeted with the familiar dewdrop-notch design with some thin bezels along the sides.
Though the teaser doesn’t reveal anything about it’s rear design, but it’s likely to be similar as last year’s Redmi Note 8 as well. Therefore, it’s likely to come with an elongated camera island at the back which is home to a 48MP quad-camera system. While the design is expected to remain largely unchanged, but the phone may perhaps feature some new colorways that are exclusive to this model.
In terms of specs, recent leaks have suggested that the Redmi Note 8 2021 will be arriving with a MediaTek Helio G85 instead of the Snapdragon 665 chipset found in it’s predecessor. Other than that, it’s charging speed is also said to receive a slight bump from 18W to 22.5W as well.
