Following the launch of the Nubia Z30 Pro flagship earlier this month, Nubia is now back with another flagship phone known as the Nubia Red Magic 6R in the Chinese market targeted towards the mobile gaming community.
The Red Magic 6R boasts a 6.67” AMOLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution and a smooth 144Hz screen refresh rate. On top of that, it also carries support for 360Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit colors depth, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner. Like most other gaming-centric phones, the Red Magic 6R also has a pair of shoulder buttons located along the right edge of the phone as well.
In the camera department, the Red Magic 6R comes with a quad-camera system at the back consisting of a 64 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, 5 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor. It will be rounded out by a 16 megapixels front-facing shooter for selfie and video-calling purposes.
Under the hood, the Red Magic 6R is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 888 mobile platform which will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. As usual, it’s also equipped with an advance 3D cooling system which helps in eliminating thermal throttling on the device during intensive gaming runs.
Keeping it’s light on is none other than a respectable 4,200mAh battery that carries support for 55W fast-charging support. On the software-side, the phone is shipped with Red Magic OS 4.0 based on Android 11 out of the box.
For those who’re interested, the Red Magic 6R comes with a starting price of 2,699 Yuan (US$423) for it’s 6GB+128GB variant, and goes all the way up to 3,999 Yuan (US$627) for it’s 12GB+256GB limited edition model.
