In June, Realme officially confirmed that it will be soon launching the Realme Book laptop and Realme Pad tablet. Since then, the company has been gradually teasing the arrival of the Realme Book. Today, the company finally confirmed the launch date of its first laptop.
Realme has confirmed that it will be holding a launch event at 7:30 PM (local time) on Aug. 18 to announce the Realme Book notebook. It is unclear whether the company will be launching the Realme Pad alongside it.
Reports have suggested that the company may announce multiple models of the Realme Book. Yesterday, Realme CEO Madhav Sheth teased a laptop named Realme Book Slim. A recent leak by Realme Times revealed that it will arrive with a 14-inch screen that offers a resolution of 216 x 1440 pixels, and it will be powered by the Intel Core i5 processor and Xe graphics.
The laptop is expected to offer users up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD storage. It will be housing a 54Wh battery that supports 65W fast charging. The device will offer other features such as dual speakers by Harmon Kardon, three microphones, two USB-C 3.1 ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. For security, it will come equipped with a fingerprint scanner.
The Realme Book Slim is likely to cost around Rs 55,000 ($498) in India. It is likely that the notebook will also debut on the same day (Aug. 17) in India.
