It’s already in the news that Realme will soon be launching a pair of budget-friendly smartphones known as the Realme 8i and Realme 8s. Though we’d already heard a fair bit about the Dimensity 810-powered Realme 8s, it’s only today that we finally got some concrete information on the Realme 8i courtesy of the folks over at Digit.in.
Starting off with the official-looking render that was published today, it revealed that the upcoming Realme 8i will be coming with a rather similar design as the current Realme 8, especially with the hole-punch display upfront as well as the familiar square-shape camera module at the back.
In terms of specs, the Realme 8i is said to feature a 6.59” LCD display which is topped with a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. On top of that, there’s also a 16 megapixels front-facing camera that’s housed within it’s hole-punch cutout located on the upper-left corner of the screen.
For photography, the three cameras at the back is tipped to include a 50 megapixels main camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels portrait lens.
Under the hood, the Realme 8i is also expected to be powered by the latest MediaTek Helio G96 chipset which will be paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that’s likely to be expandable via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone draws power from a respectable 5,000mAh battery which should be coming with some form of fast-charging solution aboard. Other than that, the phone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.
