ZTE has announced a new budget-centric smartphone known as the ZTE Avid 589 in the U.S. market where the phone carries an ultra-affordable price of just US$59.99.
The ZTE Avid 589 builds around a 5.45” IPS LCD display that offers a HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, as well as a 2 megapixels front-facing camera to handle selfie and video calls.
At the back, the phone has a slim rectangular camera module which houses a single 8 megapixels main camera and a LED flash to assist in low-light photography. The device however, doesn’t comes with a fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood, the ZTE Avid 589 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio A25 chipset which is paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the device is backed by a modest 3,000mAh battery which doesn’t has any fast-charging support. As with any other entry-level smartphones, the ZTE Avid 589 is also shipped with Android 11 Go Edition out of the box.
