Besides launching the Sharp AQUOs Zero6, Sharp had also announced a slightly more affordable model known as the Sharp AQUOS Wish in the Taiwanese market with an affordable launch price of NTD6,990 (US$251) for it’s 4GB+64GB model.
The new Sharp AQUOS wish features a 5.7” IPS LCD display that offers a HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera to handle selfie and video calls.
At the back, the phone has a slim-looking camera module which is home to a single 13 megapixels main camera and a LED flash to help with low-light photography. The rear panel is available in a trio of colors including Olive Green, Ivory, and Charcoal.
Under the hood, the Sharp AQUOS wish is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 480 which will be coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a 3,730mAh battery which carries support for USB PD 3.0 fast-charging solution. Other than that, it also comes along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.
On the software side of things, the Sharp AQUOS wish will boot on Android 11 OS out of the box with promise of two major OS update for two years. At the moment, official pricing of the phone has yet to be announced by the company.
