TCL 20B launched with MediaTek Helio P22 & 50MP dual-cameras

Chinese electronics giant TCL has announced a new entry-level smartphone known as the TCL 20B in certain markets like Russia and Brazil. It’s currently the most affordable model within the TCL 20 series lineup, bearing a retail price of just A$249 (US$178) in the Australian market.

The TCL 20B features a 6.52” IPS LCD display that comes with a HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 20:9 tall aspect ratio, as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera to help with selfie and video calls.

On the rear side, it features a rectangular camera bump which is home to a dual-cam setup comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera to help with close-up photography. Other than that, there’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner at the back as well.

Under the hood, the TCL 20B is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset along with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage which supports storage expansion via a microSD card.

To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a modest 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. On the software-side, it will be shipped with Android 11 OS out of the box.
