Samsung Galaxy F23 5G launched with 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 750G & 50MP triple camera

As scheduled, Samsung has officially announced a new mid-range model known as the Galaxy F23 5G in the Indian market. Although the phone was launched under the F series branding, it’s not difficult to see that the Galaxy F23 5G is largely a rebranded model of the recently announced Galaxy M23 5G except for some differences.

Right off the bat, the new Galaxy F23 5G features a 6.6” TFT LCD display which offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera for selfie and video calls. Despite being a budget-centric smartphone, it do come with some nice features such as Gorilla Glass 5 protection that’s normally found among more expensive models.

On the rear side, the Samsung Galaxy F23 5G sports a rectangular camera module which play host to a triple-cam setup. These cameras include a 50 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera and a 2 megapixels macro camera for close-up photography.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 750G chipset which will be paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage which can be further expanded via an external microSD card.

To keep it’s lights on, the Galaxy F23 5G relies on a respectable 5,000mAh battery that comes with a decent 25W fast-charging speed. Unsurprisingly, the phone will be shipped with the latest Android 12 OS out of the box.

For those who’re interested, the Galaxy F23 5G is available in both Aqua Blue and Forest Green colorways. It’ll be priced at INR15,999 (US$210) and INR16,999 (US$220) respectively for it’s 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB variants.
