Official: Huawei Nova Y90 with Snapdragon 680 chipset unveiled

After launching the Huawei Nova Y70 series smartphones earlier this year, Huawei is now back with the first member of its newly inaugurated Nova Y90 series lineup – Huawei Nova Y90 – in the global market.

The new Huawei Nova Y90 builds around a 6.7” IPS LCD display offering a FHD+ screen resolution along with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. To help with series and video calls, the phone also features an 8MP front-facing camera tucked into a centered holes punch cutout.

Over at the back, the Nova Y90 comes with a circular camera housing that’s obviously inspired by the company’s Mate series smartphone. These cameras include a 50 megapixels main camera as well as a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information.

Under the hood, the Huawei Nova Y90 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 680 which will be paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department. It draws power from a 5,000mAh battery with 40W fast-charging support which is capable of topping the phone from 0 to 50% in merely 30 minutes.

Those who’re interested can pick the phone from three different colors such as Crystal Blue, Pearl White, Emerald Green. Pricing and availability details of the Nova Y90 however, remain under the wraps at the moment.
