iQOO Z6x Officially Confirmed, Battery Size Revealed

Reports that surfaced in the first half of 2022 claimed that iQOO was working on a Z-series phone with a 6,000mAh battery. It was speculated at that time that it could be a new phone in the iQOO Z5 series. A new post on the company’s Weibo page confirms that the rumoured Z-series phone with a 6,000mAh battery will be called the iQOO Z6x when it comes out on August 26.

The iQOO Z6x poster released by the brand confirms that it houses a massive 6,000mAh battery. In fact, it will be the first iQOO phone to feature such a large battery. The huge battery will offer 115.2 hours of music listening time, 18 hours of watching Tencent videos, up to 18.5 hours of Baidu Map navigation, and 13.7 hours of the Honor of Kings game.

The poster also gives a look at the bottom design of the iQOO Z6x. It has a 3.5mm audio jack, a microphone, a USB-C port, and a speaker grille. It appears that the company will be confirming more details of the phone before the launch. The 3C listing of the device has revealed that the Z6x will carry support for 44W fast charging.

In related news, the iQOO Z6 has appeared in the database of the China Telecom’s website. The listing reveals that it is equipped with a 6.64-inch IPS LCD display that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 778G Plus powered device will be equipped with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. It has a 4,500mAh battery that carries support for 80W fast charging.

The device has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and its back panel has a 64-megapixel main camera and a pair of 2-megapixel dual cameras. The device will run on the Android 12 OS with iQOO UI on top.
