Android Rumors Leaked Motorola News

Moto X40 Images Surface Via TENAA Listing

This week, Chen Jin, the general manager of Lenovo’s China Mobile Phone Business Department, confirmed that the company’s next flagship phone will be called the “Moto X40.” It is being speculated that the Motorola phone with the XT2301-5 that was spotted in the database of the 3C certification platform could be the forthcoming Moto X40 handset. The device is getting closer to being released now that it has been approved by China’s TENAA certification platform.

At present, the TENAA listing of the Moto X40 does not have any information on its technical details. However, since it carries the images of the phone, its design has been revealed. It seems that the specifications of the device will also surface in the listing in the next few days.

The Moto X40 images suggest that it will feature a curved edge display that appears to be an OLED panel. To recall, the predecessor model, the Edge X30, had a flat OLED screen. It appears that the X40 has a punch-hole at the top and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The rear shell of the Moto X40 seems to be made out of leather since it has a textured finish. The company’s logo can be seen towards the center, and a triple camera unit can be seen in the upper-left corner. The right side of the phone has buttons for controlling volume and a power key.

Past reports have claimed that the Moto X40 will have a 165Hz OLED display. On the front, it will feature a 60-megapixel selfie camera and 50-megapixel (main) + 50-megapixel (ultra-wide + macro) + 12-megapixel (telephoto) triple rear cameras.

The Moto X40 is likely to ship with the Android 13 OS preinstalled. The device will draw power from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM. The device’s 3C certification showed that, like its predecessor, it may be able to charge quickly with 68W.
