Motorola will soon launch the Moto X40 flagship phone in China. The same device will be sold in the global market under a new name, Motorola Edge 40 Pro. Ahead of the expected launch, MySmartPrice has collaborated with OnLeaks to share the CAD renders of the X40 / Edge 40 Pro. Here is a first look at the design of the phone.
The Motorola Edge 40 Pro’s CAD renders show a curved-edge display with a central punch-hole. The back panel of the phone has three elements, a square-shaped camera module, a logo, and branding.
The camera module houses a triple camera unit and an LED flash. On the right side of the device, there is a power button and a volume rocker. The bottom edge of the phone has a pair of speaker grilles, a microphone, and a USB-C port.
The report states that the Edge 40 Pro will have dimensions of 161.3 x 73.9 x 8.6mm. It has a thickness of 10.8mm at the camera bump. The leak states that the device will sport a 6.7-inch display, but does not say anything about its other specifications.
The full specs for a Motorola phone with model number XT2301-5 were recently seen at TENAA. Its global variant with model number XT2301-4 and the Motorola Edge 40 Pro moniker was recently approved by TDRA. Motorola is teasing the Moto X40 phone in China. It is likely that the TENAA-certified XT2301-5 may debut with the Moto X40 name in the home market.
Rumors are rife that the device will come with a 6.67-inch FHD+ 165Hz AMOLED display, a 60-megapixel front camera, and a 50-megapixel (main) + 50-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 12-megapixel (telephoto) triple camera unit. The device may come with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. It may house a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging support.
