Vivo has officially announced a new entry-level smartphone known as the Vivo Y100 which brings along several highlights including a capable chipset and camera system.
Right off the bat, the new Vivo Y100 builds around a 6.38” AMOLED display featuring a FHD+ screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, as well as an impressive peak brightness that goes up to 1,300 nits. To help with selfies and video calls, it also has a 16 megapixels front-facing camera that sits within a waterdrop-notch.
Over on the rear side, the Vivo Y100 features a dual-ring camera design which houses a trio of cameras that include 64 megapixels main camera and a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y100 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset which will be paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage which supports further expansion via a microSD card.
Keeping it’s lights on is a respectable 4,500mAh battery with 44W fast wired charging support. Other than that, the phone also features IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, sided-mounted fingerprint scanner, as well as FuntouchOS 13 (based on Android 13).
For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y100 is available in three different colorways such as Pacific Blue, Twilight Gold and Metal Black. It’ll be priced at just INR29,999 ($363) for it’s 8GB+128GB trim in the Indian market.
