Vivo X Fold 2 Retail Box Image Appear, April Launch Expected

The Vivo X Fold 2 is expected to launch in April in China. Ahead of the launch, the foldable phone that has model number V2266A was recently spotted on AnTuTu benchmarks. Now, a Chinese tipster has leaked an image of the X Fold 2’s retail package.

As can be seen, the retail package mentions the name of the device as “X Fold 2” on the top and right side. The blue-colored ZEISS logo can also be seen alongside. The ASIA logo that can be seen on the front belongs to the BFA annual conference. It appears that the device is going to be showcased at the Boao Forum, which will be held between March 28 and March 31 in China.

The Vivo X Fold 2 is expected to arrive with a 120Hz foldable OLED panel on the inside. It is expected to house a 4,800mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

The rear shell of the device is likely to have a triple camera unit comprising of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 primary camera, a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 ultra-wide camera, and a 12-megapixel IMX663 telephoto camera. It is expected to feature a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and another 16-megapixel camera on the inner screen.

The USP of the device is that it will be the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered foldable phone to hit the market. It will be coupled with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. One of the variants of the device will offer 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. It will run on Android 13 OS and OriginOS 3.0. Like the predecessor models, it is expected to come in a red variant.
