Motorola is likely to soon launch the Edge 40 and Edge 40 Pro smartphones in the global market. In a new report, MySmartPrice revealed the entire specifications of the Edge 40 series. The report reveals that the Edge 40 will be a new device featuring the yet-to-be-announced Dimensity 8020 chipset. It further reveals that the Edge 40 Pro will be a rebranded version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Moto X40, available in the Chinese market since December last year.

According to the report, the Edge 40 will feature a p-OLED display of 6.55 inches. The curved-edge display will have a centrally positioned punch-hole and an under-screen fingerprint sensor. The screen will support an FHD+ resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a maximum brightness of 1,400 nits. It will run on the Android 13 OS, which will be customized with Motorola’s MyUX 5.0 UI.
Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 40 will have the Dimensity 8020 chipset, 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device will be backed by a 4,400mAh battery. It will support 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
The Edge 40 will have a 32-megapixel camera for shooting selfies. The rear-facing dual-camera system of the device will have an OIS-assisted 50-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
The leather-backed version of the Motorola Edge 40 will have 158.43 x 71.99 x 7.58mm dimensions and weigh around 171 grams. On the other hand, is acrylic back panel version will measure 158.43 x 71.99 x 7.49mm and measure 167 grams. The Edge 40 will come in shades like Nebula Green, Lunar Blue, Eclipse Black, and Viva Magenta. However, there is no information available on its price.
