After much anticipation, OPPO has finally unveiled the new F23 5G in the global market. Despite sporting a new moniker, the phone appears to share identical specs and design as the A98 smartphone which was recently announced in the Malaysian market.
Right off the bat, the new OPPO F23 5G features a 6.72” IPS LCD display with FHD+ screen resolution along with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls, it also has a 32 megapixels front-facing camera that sits within a centered punch-hole cutout.
Over on the back, the F23 5G comes with a dual-ring camera which houses a pair of rear-facing cameras. These include a 64 megapixels main camera as well as a pair of 2 megapixels cameras comprising of a monochrome unit and a macro camera which helps with close-up photography.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 695 chipset which will be paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department. Other than that, it also features a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast wired charging support.
As far as software is concerned, the F23 5G is shipped with ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13 OS out of the box. Those who’re interested can pick the phone from two different colorways such as Cool Black and Bold Gold.
Pricing for the OPPO F23 5G is set at just INR24,999 ($304) in the Indian market for the 8GB+256GB trim.
