iQOO will be launching the iQOO Neo 8 series of smartphones on May 23 in China. The next major phone from the brand is said to be the iQOO 11S, which may debut in the third quarter of this year. It is speculated that the company may unveil the iQOO 12 series of flagship phones by the end of this year. Today, Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station shared a few details about an upcoming iQOO flagship. It appears that he could be talking about the vanilla iQOO 12.
Tipster DCS revealed that an upcoming iQOO smartphone uses the Snapdragon 8550 chipset and supports 200W fast charging without mentioning its name. He also revealed that the device has a 2K resolution supporting display.
The iQOO 11s, which is expected to launch in Q3, is said to have the Dimensity 9200+ chipset. Hence, the tipster does not seem to be talking about the 11s in the new leak.
Previously, the tipster hinted that the vanilla iQOO 12 would have a 5,000mAh battery with 200W fast charging support. Hence, in the new leak, he seems to have revealed additional information about the iQOO 12.
While the iQOO 12 Pro will arrive with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship chipset, it appears that the company will settle with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (8550). It appears that both phones will support 2K resolution. Like the iQOO 11 series, the iQOO 12 may feature a flat display, whereas the Pro variant could be equipped with a curved-edge OLED panel.
