On Aug. 5, POCO will unveil the Poco M6 Pro 5G mid-range phone in India. The new M-series will be announced at 12 pm (local time) on the said date. While the device is confirmed to launch in India, it is unclear whether it will be released in the global market.
The POCO M6 Pro 5G’s microsite, which is now available on Flipkart, has revealed its rear design. It confirms that its design language will be similar to previously released M-series phones.
Currently, there is no official information available regarding the specifications of the POCO M6 Pro 5G. However, there are rumors suggesting that it might be a rebranded version of the Redmi 12 5G, which itself is believed to be a variant of China’s Redmi Note 12R. The POCO M6 Pro is likely to be a 6.79-inch LCD panel with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It will have a side-fitted fingerprint sensor. The phone is expected with the Android 13, which will have a layer of the MIUI 14 on top.
The POCO M6 Pro is likely to come equipped with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery that offers 18W charging. There is a possibility that the highest configuration of the M6 Pro will offer 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
For selfies, the POCO M6 Pro is speculated to sport an 8-megapixel front camera. The rear-facing dual-camera setup is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
