Several reports have claimed that Xiaomi will announce two tablets this month in China. The first one is said to be the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max, which is expected to feature the largest display seen on a Xiaomi tablet. It will be a flagship device powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip. The second device is said to be a mid-range Redmi tablet tentatively called the Redmi Pad 2. A new development reveals that the Redmi tablet will be called the Redmi Pad SE when it arrives on the market. In addition, the source, which has revealed the moniker of the device, has also leaked its press renders.

The Redmi Pad SE renders reveal a design that closely resembles the original Redmi Pad. While the original model featured a black camera module, the Pad SE opts for a uniform color scheme throughout the entire rear shell, including the camera module
The Pad SE renders further highlight its features, including four Dolby Atmos-tuned speakers, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It is expected to be available in three distinct colors: purple, green, and grey.
Redmi Pad SE specifications (rumored)
Reportedly, the Redmi Pad SE is said to sport an 11-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1,200 x 1,920 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. It will have a 5-megapixel camera on the front and an 8-megapixel snapper on the back.
It is rumored to be fuelled by the Snapdragon 680 chipset and is expected to be offered in multiple configurations, including 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The device will ship with MIUI 14-base Android 13. The Redmi Pad SE is slated to feature an ample 8,000mAh battery. Although the retail package will include a 22.5W charger, indications suggest it might support a maximum of 18W charging.
