After months of leaks, Xiaomi has confirmed that it will hold a launch event at 7:00 PM (local time) on August 14 in China. Unlike previous events, this one will not be held at Xiaomi Science and Technology Park. Instead, it will be held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun will address the crowd and announce the following new products:
Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 and Redmi K60 Ultra
Xiaomi has already confirmed the existence of the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 and Redmi K60 Ultra. The third-generation foldable phone is expected to offer improved durability, better photography thanks to the inclusion of a periscope zoom camera, a faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor that runs at 3.36GHz, and 50W wireless charging support.
The Redmi K60 Ultra is confirmed to feature the Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset. The brand has also revealed that the device has an OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. For an enhanced gaming experience, the device will come equipped with a dedicated PixelWorks X7 visual processor.
Xiaomi Pad 6 Max and Redmi Pad SE
The Xiaomi Pad 6 Max is expected to arrive with a massive 14-inch LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, and a large battery. The rest of its specifications are likely to remain identical to those of the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, which debuted earlier this year in China.
The Redmi Pad SE will be a mid-range tablet that is rumored to arrive with an 11-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 5-megapixel front camera, and an 8-megapixel rear camera. The tablet will also feature the Snapdragon 680 chipset, up to 6GB of RAM, up to 128GB of storage, and an 8,000mAh battery with 18W charging.
