Honor 100 Pro to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, likely to launch in November

Honor is reportedly working on the Honor 100 series of smartphones for the Chinese market. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to share key details about the Honor 100 Pro. He also revealed the launch timeframe for the Honor 100 series.

According to the tipster, the Honor 100 Pro will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8-series chipset. In the comments sections of the post, the tipster has seemingly agreed that the Honor 100 Pro has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip onboard.

The leak further reveals that the device’s display will support a 1.5K resolution and 3840Hz PWM dimming. It will be equipped with a centred punch-hole, which will house dual front-facing cameras with a high megapixel count.

There is a possibility that the device may retain the 6.78-inch quad-curved AMOLED display that was made available on the Honor 90 Pro. For those who don’t remember, its screen offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution.

At present, there is no word on the other specifications of the Honor 100 Pro. It is likely that the device will be equipped with MagicOS 8.0-based Android 14.

Coming back to the Honor 100 series, DCS claimed that the brand will begin its internal testing in October. He added that the lineup will debut in early November in China.
