Redmi is expected to announce the Redmi K70 series of smartphones in December in China. So far, reports have revealed that the lineup will include three models, such as the Redmi K70e, K70, and K70 Pro. While recent reports have revealed key details about the standard and Pro variants, there has been no information about the K70e. In a new leak, tipster Digital Chat Station seems to be talking about the Redmi K70e.
Back in September, a Chinese leaker revealed that the upcoming Redmi K70, Redmi K70 Pro, and Redmi K70e have codenames such as Vermeer, Manet, and Duchamp, respectively. These devices are said to have model numbers 2311DRK48C, 23117RK66C, and 23113RKC6C, respectively.
Reports have revealed that the Redmi K70 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, while the K70 Pro will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The 23113RKC6C (alleged Redmi K70e) has appeared in the databases of Geekbench and China’s 3C certification. These listings have revealed that the device will be equipped with the Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset, 16 GB of RAM, Android 13, and 120W charging.
In the latest leak, DCS claimed that it has disclosed the existence of another model featuring a 5,500mAh battery and 90W charging, which appears to be positioned at a lower tier in the product lineup. While he has not mentioned the name of the device explicitly, he could be talking about the K70e. He added that this variant features a 1.5K flat screen without a plastic bracket but retains a plastic mid-frame while maintaining flagship-level performance.
