Honor Magic 6 series tipped to include Porsche Design edition

In September, Huawei confirmed that its upcoming premium flagship phones will not have Porsche branding. Instead, it will use Ultimate Design branding as it did on the Huawei Mate 60 Ultimate Design model. Now that the brand has given up on the Porsche, it appears that its ex-sub-brand Honor will adopt the Porsche Design branding.

According to DCS, the Honor Magic 6 series will have three models. Without mentioning the exact names of these models, he has called them “medium cup,” “large cup,” and “extra-large cup.” These devices are likely to be called the Honor Magic 6, the Magic 6 Pro, and the Magic 6 Ultimate, which may replace the Magic 5, the Magic 5 Pro, and the Magic 5 Ultimate.

It appears that all three devices will have an OLED display with a quad-curved design. In addition, these devices are expected to feature two punch holes, which will look like a pill-shaped cutout design. Moving to the back, the Magic 6 and 6 Pro are likely to flaunt a round camera module like their predecessors.

The Magic 5 Ultimate has a squarish camera island with rounded corners. It seems that the Magic 6 Ultimate will have a similar rear camera design with some refinements. In addition, the tipster has talked about the existence of a Porsche Design variant, which goes without saying that it will have a premium appeal.

The Magic 6 series is tentatively scheduled to launch in January 2024 in China. The lineup will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and it is said to include the all-new one-inch OmniVision OV50k 50-megapixel primary camera.
