Xiaomi is reportedly working on the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro tablets for China. According to reports, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and 8 Gen 2 chipsets respectively power both devices. However, in a new leak, tipster Digital Chat Station seems to reveal the existence of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered Xiaomi tablet.
In a new Weibo post, DCS can be seen talking about a forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered tablet. Hence, it appears that he could be talking about the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro. However, in the same leak, he mentioned a new tablet that features an OLED panel and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Unfortunately, the tipster did not share any other information about the mysterious tablet. Hence, it is unclear whether the tablet will have the Xiaomi Pad 7 Max branding or whether it is an entirely different tablet. It is advisable to wait for further reports to know what the said tablet will be when it arrives in the Chinese market.
In the same Weibo post, the tipster talked about the display of the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro. Rumors surrounding it have claimed that it will have a 10-inch display. However, DCS claims that it will have an LCD panel, but its size will not be 10-inch. While he did not mention the correct size, he mentioned that it will support a 144Hz refresh rate. He added that the Xiaomi 14 series will serve as an inspiration for the camera module design of the Pad 7 series.
As per other reports, the Pad 7 Pro is expected to feature a 50-megapixel main camera and pack a 10,000mAh battery with 90W charging support. The device will run on HyperOS-based Android 14.
