The Huawei Pocket 2 rumors have revealed that its design will be similar to the P50 Pocket and Pocket S launched in previous years. The device is expected to arrive in a purple variant featuring a leather back. Its black and white editions are expected to have a glass back.

The Pocket 2 is likely to draw power from the Kirin 9000S chipset. This means that the device will have support for 5G connectivity, which will be a notable upgrade as the predecessor models supported only 4G connectivity.

The device is expected to house a 4,520mAh battery with 66W fast charging. It will ship with 12 GB of RAM and come preloaded with the Harmony OS. It is also expected to offer two-way messaging via satellite connectivity and a waterproof chassis.

The Pocket 2 is expected to face competition from other flip-style foldables, such as the Xiaomi MIX Flip and Honor Magic Flip, in the Chinese market. The MIX Flip features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and supports two-way satellite connectivity. The rumor mill is yet to leak the core specs of the Magic Flip.
