Xiaomi 14 Ultra camera samples released, technical details confirmed

Xiaomi is all set to announce the Xiaomi 14 Ultra on Feb. 22 in China. It will offer a top-notch photography experience like its predecessor. Today, the company released a couple of posters to confirm the key specifications of the 14 Ultra. In addition, it also released camera samples to showcase the photography prowess of the device.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra camera specifications tipped

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra will have a 50-megapixel LYT-900 primary camera with an f/1.63 to f/4.0 variable aperture. For those who don’t know, it is the second-generation one-inch camera sensor that replaces the Sony IMX989 camera sensor, which was available as the primary shooter on the predecessor model.

It will be joined by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 telephoto camera with an f/1.8 aperture. It will have a 75mm focal length and a 3.2x optical zoom.

The camera setup also includes a 50-megapixel IMX858 periscope telephoto camera with an f/2.5 aperture. It offers a 120mm focal length and 5x optical zoom.

The company is yet to confirm the details of the ultra-wide camera of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. It remains to be seen whether it has the same 50-megapixel IMX858 ultra-wide snapper that was made available on the 13 Ultra. It is speculated that all three camera sensors, except for the primary lens, will be capable of shooting macro shots.

Previous leaks have revealed that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, up to 16 GB of RAM, up to 1 TB of storage, and a 5,300mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device will have a 6.73-inch AMOLED panel that offers a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
