A recent leak suggested that India might soon get the iQOO Z9 5G smartphone. Today, the brand confirmed that the Z9 will be launched in the country on March 12. While the brand has revealed the device’s chipset and main camera, additional details have been leaked.
As the poster reveals, the iQOO Z9 5G will be announced on March 12 in India. The poster reveals that the green variant has a feather-like design on the back and a black camera module.
The top edge of the iQOO Z9 5G has a single microphone, which suggests that the device may only feature a single bottom-firing speaker, indicating that it may not support stereo output.
A previous leak revealed that the device will also come in a blue variant with the same feather-like design. The device’s landing page available on Amazon India confirms that it will ship with the Dimensity 7200. Also, the company has confirmed that the phone will have an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary camera. At present, there is no word about the auxiliary camera on the device.
As per other reports, the iQOO Z9 5G will have a 6-inch+ OLED panel that offers an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. It is likely to house a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging.
The Z9 will come preloaded with the FunTouch OS 14-based Android 14. The device may likely feature a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The brand is yet to shed any information about the price of the device. However, it appears that the device may arrive with a sub-Rs 20,000 (~$240).
