Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 camera specs detailed in new leaks

Following the Mix Flip, the key specifications for the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 have surfaced. Separate reports from Android Headlines and Digital Chat Station have shed light on the major specifications of Xiaomi’s next foldable.

Several databases have spotted the Mix Fold 4, with its model number 24072PX77C. The intriguing ‘C’ at the end signifies its exclusivity. The phone will be solely available in the Chinese market. On the other hand, the inaugural Mi Mix Flip will be available globally, with the exception of India and Japan.

Coming back to the Mix Fold 4, the phone has the codename ‘goku’ and is referred to as “N18” within Xiaomi. For reference, its predecessor was known internally as ‘M18’. The latest Qualcomm flagship, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, will power the phone.

Xiaomi will continue to offer a quad-camera setup on its foldable but with new sensors.  It will have the same primary camera as the Redmi K70 Pro, the Light Hunter 800, and the model number Ovx8000. Interestingly, the Mix Flip will also utilise the same sensor. It is a 50-megapixel lens with a 1/1.55-inch sensor.

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will have the Ominivision OV60A as the telephoto camera. It is a 60-megapixel camera with a ½.8-inch sensor size. This will be paired with a 2x optical lens. There will be a 5X periscope camera, S5K3K1, with a 10-megapixel resolution and 5x optical zoom capability. For the ultrawide camera, Xiaomi is siding with the OV13B sensor with a 13-megapixel resolution and a 1/13-inch sensor.

Finally, a 16-megapixel OV16F selfie sensor will be available on both the cover and the inner screen. The cover display will be of higher resolution than the last two generations of Mix Fold. Last year’s Mix Fold 3 was liked because of its form factor—the foldable was comparable in thickness and weight to a normal flagship. According to DCS, its successor will try to build on it. As per other reports, the Mix Fold 4 will have 16 GB of RAM, 1 TB of storage, and two-way satellite communication support.
