Realme GT 7 Pro periscope camera to support up to 120x zoom

Realme has confirmed that it will announce the Realme GT 7 Pro in multiple markets at the end of this year. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip will power the phone. In China, it is expected to be unveiled in December. It is anticipated to debut in other markets as the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 phone globally. Today, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station leaked key details about the GT 7 Pro’s periscope telephoto camera.

To recall, the Realme GT 5 Pro, which remained exclusive to the Chinese market, featured a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera. As per the new leak, the GT 7 Pro will have a Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera instead of the OV64B.

The leak states that the IMX882 will offer 3x optical zoom. Additionally, it will also support 120x digital zoom and 10x hybrid zoom. It will be powered by a large-model super-resolution algorithm that will help in capturing top-quality zoomed shots.

The other things that DCS has mentioned are just a reiteration of what he revealed in the past. He claims the GT 7 Pro will have a flat OLED panel with microcurvature on all four sides. The highly customized LTPO OLED panel will support a 1.5K resolution and its performance is likely to support the 2K screens found on competing flagship phones.

According to a previous leak, the Realme GT 7 Pro’s current engineering prototype has a 6,000mAh battery that could support 100W wired charging. A single-point ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and IP68/IP69-rated dust and water resistance are reportedly features.
