Honor recently unveiled the Honor X60i smartphone equipped with the Dimensity 6080 chipset in China. Rumors suggest that the brand might introduce a few X60-branded models to the Chinese market in the upcoming weeks. A new development suggests that the company may unveil the Honor X60 as early as this month or in September.
Honor X60 likely to launch soon
An Honor phone model with model number BRC-AN00 has received approval from the 3C authority in China. A tipster who is known for leaking details about upcoming Honor devices claimed that the said device is nothing but the upcoming Honor X60.
As can be seen in the screenshot above, an alleged Honor X60 has been spotted with a 35W charger at the 3C certification. With an important certification under the belt, it appears that the X60 is about to launch soon.
Another leaker has shared the design of the next-generation X-branded phone. In all likelihood, the above image seems to showcase the rear design of the X60. Unfortunately, there is no information available about the camera capabilities of the device.
Honor 100 GT could be in works
In related news, well-known leaker Digital Chat Station mentioned in a recent Weibo post that one of the upcoming Honor phones will have a 6,400mAh single-cell high-density silicon battery. He claimed that this is not part of the Magic series. Instead, it belongs to the high-performance mid-range line.
Other Chinese tech bloggers believe that the tipster could be talking about the Honor 100 GT smartphone. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which will become one year older when the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 debuts in October of this year, is likely to power the device. There is a possibility that it may debut in December of this year, probably to rival the likes of the OnePlus Ace 5, Redmi K80, and iQOO Neo 10.
