Redmi’s Dimensity 8400 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 phone in works, could be Redmi Turbo 4 and Turbo 4 Pro

Redmi is expected to announce the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro phones in November in China. These phones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipsets, respectively. Since the company unveiled the Redmi K70e alongside the K70 and K70 Pro last year, it is likely that the K80e could also be in the works. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, seems to have revealed the details of the K70e’s successor. In addition, the new leak also has information about another sub-flagship phone from Redmi.

Redmi Turbo 4, Turbo 4 Pro could be in works

The above Weibo post reveals that the Redmi is working on two phones powered by the Dimensity 8400 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipsets. The leak reveals that both phones will have a flat OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution.

The two Redmi phones are said to pack a 6,000 mAh+ battery. The camera island design pays tribute to its own phones that have launched in the past. He added that both phones are good at design and performance.

Ideally, the Dimensity 8400-powered phone should be the Redmi K80e, whereas the one featuring the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip should be the Redmi Turbo 4. However, some sources suggest that the brand will not launch a “K80e”-branded phone. Instead, the brand might name the Dimensity model the Redmi Turbo 4, and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro.

To recall, the Redmi K80e and Redmi Turbo 3 were rebranded as the Poco X6 Pro and the Poco F6 in the global market. Hence, it remains to be seen whether the alleged Redmi Turbo 4 and Turbo 4 Pro will debut as the Poco X7 Pro and Poco F7 markets outside of China.
