After the Chinese Spring Festival, Oppo is expected to hold a launch event in China in February to unveil at least two products, namely, the Oppo Find N5 foldable phone and the Watch X2 smartwatch. It is speculated that the brand will hold a launch event in March to unveil the much-anticipated Find X8 Ultra along with the Find X8 Mini. Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has claimed that the Find X8 Ultra will arrive with a price hike.
Oppo Find X8 Ultra to be costlier than Find X7 Ultra
To recall, the Oppo Find X7 Ultra’s base model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of built-in storage was priced at 5,999 CNY ($820) at launch. As can be seen above, DCS has claimed that the Find X8 Ultra’s price will increase.
The Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, which were announced in October 2024 in China, have already been released in the global market. However, speculations are rife that the X8 Ultra may remain exclusive to the Chinese market.
Oppo Find X8 Ultra specifications (rumored)
Reports have revealed that the Oppo Find X8 Ultra will have the same 6.82-inch BOE X2 screen that’s available on the OnePlus 13. Under the hood, the device will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It may pack a battery of around 6,000mAh battery capacity and support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The Find X8 Ultra may feature a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 primary camera with OIS support. Alongside it, the company may offer a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a pair of periscope telephoto cameras. The device is expected to run on ColorOS 15-based Android 15 and feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.
