Oppo unveiled the Oppo Find N3 foldable phone in 2022. While fans were expecting the brand to launch a successor edition in 2023, it was not unveiled. However, recent teasers from the Oppo Find Product Manager in China suggest that the Find N5 is slated to go official in February 2025 in China. Several details of the foldable phone have appeared in the past few days.
Oppo Find N5 leaked material
Shown above is a leaked internal image that is doing the rounds on social media platforms in China. It states that the Find N5 will have a thin titanium build. Tipster Digital Chat Station released a Weibo post revealing that the Find N5 will be the world’s thinnest foldable phone.
According to reports, the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset will power the Oppo Find N5, making it the world’s first foldable phone. According to a Weibo post by reliable leaker Ice Universe, it will be the only foldable phone in the first half of 2025. Competing devices such as the Xiaomi Fold 5, Vivo X Fold 4, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 are expected to arrive in the second half of this year.
Leaks have revealed that the Oppo Find N5 will pack a battery of nearly 6,000mAh capacity. It is also expected to support wireless charging, a feature that was unavailable with the Find N3. Additionally, it is expected to come equipped with an IPX8-rated waterproof body.
According to reports, the Find N5 may remain limited to markets like China and some of the Southeast Asian markets. It is likely to release with the OnePlus Open 2 branding in markets like the US, Europe, and India.
