Oppo has released the first teaser of its upcoming foldable flagship, the Find N5. Scheduled to launch in February 2025 in China, it will succeed the Find N3, which debuted in 2023. Probably, the N5 may get rebadged as the OnePlus Open 2 for the global market. The N5’s first teaser hints at an ultra-thin design, setting high expectations for this highly anticipated device.
Oppo Find N5 – World’s thinnest foldable phone
The Find N5 is expected to be the thinnest foldable smartphone yet, with an unfolded thickness of around 3.5–4mm, potentially slimmer than the 4.35mm Honor Magic V3. A promotional image compares the phone’s thickness to half the diameter of a pencil, highlighting its sleek and lightweight build. The device also features a brushed metal middle frame, likely crafted from titanium, which enhances durability while reducing weight. Oppo Chief Product Officer and OnePlus founder Pete Lau claims that the Find N5 is the world’s slimmest foldable phone.
Oppo has reportedly packed the Find N5 with top-tier hardware, including the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Reports suggest the device will offer a 5,565mAh–5,700mAh battery with support for wireless charging.
In terms of imaging, the Find N5 is equipped with a Hasselblad-tuned triple-camera setup, featuring an OIS-assisted 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The internal screen of the N5 is expected to support a 2K resolution.
The Find N5 may also continue supporting a stylus for improved productivity. It is expected to ship with ColorOS 15-based Android 15. It is speculated that the company may also launch the Oppo Watch X3 smartwatch along with the Find N5 in February in China.
