Next month, Honor will announce the Honor Magic 8 series of smartphones in China. Well ahead of the launch, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed key details about what appears to be the Magic 8 Pro.
Honor Magic 8 Pro key specifications (rumored)
To recall, Honor announced the Honor unveiled the Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite (SM8750) in October last year. In the above leak, tipster Digital Chat Station has used an emoji, which he usually uses for Honor leaks.
The tipster is talking about an upcoming Honor phone that will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850). Hence, it appears that the tipster is talking about the Honor Magic 8 Pro.
The leak suggests that the Magic 8 Pro will feature a new OmniVision OV50Q primary camera. In another Weibo post, DCS revealed that it will be a 50-megapixel camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor size. It supports LOFIC technology, which improves focus speed and optimises high dynamic range (HDR) performance.
Additionally, the camera facilitates smooth frame transitions and super frame synthesis, contributing to better overall imaging results. These features help reduce power consumption, making the OV50Q an efficient solution for smartphones powered by the SM8850 chipset.
Apart from featuring the 50-megapixel OV50Q main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. In comparison, the Magic 7 Pro featured an OmniVision OVH9000 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 200-megapixel Samsung HP3 camera.
