OnePlus started teasing the arrival of the Nord 5 series in India last week. However, for reasons best known to the brand, the teaser X post was deleted. Starting today, the brand has restarted promotions for the Nord 5 series’ arrival. It has been confirmed that OnePlus will hold its Summer Launch event on July 8 to unveil the Nord 5 series, Pad 3 Lite, Buds 4, and a new edition of the OnePlus Watch 3.
OnePlus Summer Event: What to expect?
According to the brand, the OnePlus Nord 5, Nord CE 5, and Buds 4 are scheduled to launch on the said date. While the brand has not confirmed any details about the CE 5, it has revealed a few key features of the Nord 5 and Buds 4.
The brand confirmed that the OnePlus Nord 5 will feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, which will be paired with LPDDR5x RAM. The device will come equipped with a 7300mm² VC cooling unit.
OnePlus is promoting the Nord 5 series models as gaming-friendly smartphones. It confirmed that BGMI will support 90fps gaming on the Nord 5, and with frame interpolation, it will also support up to 144fps. Additionally, the device will support 144fps gaming on Call of Duty Mobile.
The OnePlus Buds 4 will be a premium offering equipped with dual audio drivers featuring an 11mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter. It will offer other features such as Dual DACs, LHDC 5.0, 3D audio, and a 47ms low-latency mode. It will be sold in two shades: Zen Green and Storm Grey.
Apart from the Nord 5 series and Buds 4, the brand will also announce a new tablet named OnePlus Pad 3 Lite and the OnePlus Watch 3 (43mm variant).
