At the beginning of this month, Honor held a major launch event in China to unveil multiple devices. The same event saw the arrival of the Honor Magic V5 foldable phone. Now, the brand has officially confirmed that the V5 will debut globally on July 15.
Honor Magic V5 global launch confirmed

The official confirmation has come from Honor Malaysia, which confirms that the Magic V5 will launch on the said date in Malaysia. While the brand has not revealed any significant details about the Magic V5’s specifications, it is expected to pack the same internals as its Chinese version.

The Honor Magic V5 houses a 7.95-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED screen with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. On the front, it has a 6.43-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with support for 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device runs on MagicOS 9.0-based Android 15.
The Magic V5 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. In China, it is available with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The home market gets 5,820mAh and 6,100mAh battery variants of the V5. However, the brand is expected to sell only the 5,820mAh edition globally.
The Honor Magic V5 has a 20-megapixel camera on the cover display and another with the same megapixel count on the inside. Its back panel has a 50-megapixel (main) + 50-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 64-megapixel (periscope) telephoto camera setup.
In China, the Honor Magic V5 has a starting price of 8,999 Yuan ($1,225). There is no information about the device’s price outside of China.
