Redmi unveiled the Redmi Turbo 4 in January 2024 in China. It is likely that the brand will launch its successor, the Redmi Turbo 5, around the same time next year. A new Weibo post by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has leaked details about the display, chipset, and battery size of the device.

As per the leak, the Redmi Turbo 5 will arrive with an LTPS OLED panel with rounded corners and support for 1.5K resolution. One of his previous Weibo posts revealed that it will feature a 6.6-inch display. Considering that the device will debut several months later, it is expected to ship with HyperOS 3.0-based Android 16.
Under the hood, the Redmi Turbo 5 will feature the upcoming Dimensity 8500 chipset. It will draw power from a high-capacity silicon battery that starts around “7”, indicating that its battery size could be around 7000mAh.
In terms of design, the Redmi Turbo 5 will sport a minimalist camera deco and a metal middle frame for durability. The other details of the Turbo 5 are under wraps.
The Redmi Turbo 4 was rebranded as the Poco X7 Pro for the global market. Therefore, the Turbo 5 is expected to arrive with the Poco X8 Pro moniker in markets outside of China.
At present, Redmi is said to be busy working on other smartphones like the Redmi 15 and Redmi Note 15 series, which are expected to go official in the next few weeks in China. The brand is also expected to announce the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro smartphones in November this year.
