According to the tipster, the Dimensity 9500 will arrive with a 40 percent improvement in GPU performance compared to its predecessor, the Dimensity 9400. He added that the chip will also offer a similar 40 percent boost in ray tracing capabilities.

He further said that the chip will be able to achieve ray tracing beyond 100fps. Therefore, the tipster believes that the Taiwanese chip maker has been able to fully unlock the potential of Arm’s latest Drage GPU architecture.

Reports have revealed that the Dimensity 9500 will be a 3nm chip equipped with one Cortex-X9400 prime core, three Cortex-AX9 series cores, and four Cortex-A7 series cores. For GPU, the chip is equipped with a Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU.

The Dimensity 9500 is expected to power the likes of the Vivo X300 series and the Oppo Find X9 lineup. While the Vivo X300 may debut by September-end or October, the Find X9 lineup may break cover in October.

Apart from the Dimensity 9500, MediaTek is also working on the Dimensity 8500. Likely, the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5, which is expected to launch in December this year, will be the first phone to feature it. The iQOO Z11 Turbo, Realme Neo 8 SE, and an unknown Honor phone are also expected to feature the D8500 SoC.
