In September, Xiaomi is expected to announce the Xiaomi 16 series flagship phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. Apart from the Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro, the lineup may also include a new compact model dubbed the Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini. A fresh leak has now revealed details about its display and battery size.
Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini key specifications tipped
The above leak suggests that the Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini (tentative name) will be a compact smartphone featuring a 6.3-inch display with rounded corners and ultra-thin bezels made possible by LIPO technology. The leak further claims that the device will pack a 6,300mAh battery. While it does not specify the chipset, it is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, similar to the Xiaomi 16 and 16 Pro.
The Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini is also expected to feature a flagship-grade primary camera and a periscope telephoto camera. Other tipped features include wireless charging, an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, and enhanced waterproofing.
Xiaomi 16 Ultra also in the works
The Xiaomi 16 series is also said to include a fourth model, the Xiaomi 16 Ultra. This device is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2026. At present, it remains unclear whether it will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 or Xiaomi’s in-house Xring O2 chipset. The device is also rumored to include a secondary rear display, similar to the one seen on the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra in the past.
